  2. Aeon Flux CD-Rom Commercial Breen Soldiers, Scaphandra, Custodians, and Aeon Flux Production Cel Signed by Peter Chung with Key Master Background Cel (MTV Animation, 1996). The secret agent Aeon Flux is placed in the spotlight in this extraordinary hand-painted production cel, featuring our titular character surrounded by Breen forces, Custodians, and followed by the double agent Scaphandra. Seen at the 0:06 mark of the high-octane animated commercial, this spectacular four-layer production cel masterfully captures our attention from the characters framing the shot towards the center of the piece, where Aeon Flux stands holding her gun highlighted by her shadow on the spotlight with bright red and blue illumination around her, with the marvelous Key Master Background featured as a layer of the cel. This image greatly exemplifies one of the magnificent parts of the animated ad, directed and storyboarded by Peter Chung, with production by studio Madhouse and key animation by Takeshi Koike and Yoshinori Kanemori. Featuring a staggering image size of 13" × 10.25", this image features everything to mesmerize on Flux fans, from the amazing composition, the striking shading, and the characters on the scene, all with a bewildering amount of detail. The cel is signed by Peter Chung on the bottom right area. Overall, the lot presents light handling and edge wear from production, with the linework showing light fading, its layers are slightly adhered together and taped by the top edge. In Very Good condition. From the Peter Chung Aeon Flux Archives. Year: 1996 Medium: 4 Layer Hand-painted animation cel Image Area: 13” x 10.25” Image Source: Original Condition: Very Good
